     I used to love the fall in Colorado. The change of color in the trees, in all the varying shades. Watching leaves drop, in droves or one at a time, was always so serene. The color of the sky would lighten so subtly, while the drop in the temperature was much more obvious. My birthday, which happened in late October, was sometimes a herald for what would be the first appearances of a white landscape. True, the change of time and season meant that it got too dark too early to see much color, but it was still a time to love.     These days, you're lucky if you remember what color even looks like. It's not like it was the end of the world
